- ➤ Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto is backing a bill that will let federal law enforcement look into money laundering with cryptocurrency and digital assets. The bill—reintroduced with Sen. Chuck Grassley—will change the law that does not cover unlicensed money transmitters. News4
- ➤ Carson City Board of Supervisors acted on Thursday by voting 4‑1 to support a restoration district bill, approving a measure to set aside tax sale funds for a new technology fund, and moving to limit sales of disposable plastic bottles in the Lake Tahoe area. They also approved a wildfire defense grant for projects starting in 2026, a new bargaining agreement for sheriff’s lieutenants and captains, and an ordinance against unauthorized sleeping that is in effect today—steps that will affect building projects, public safety, and city funds.
