- ➤ Kristi Haworth, a Carson City caretaker, was arrested on March 14 after an investigation found she abused an 83-year-old resident at a memory care facility—she faces charges of elder abuse, criminal neglect, and battery and is held on $5,000 bail. FOX Reno

- ➤ Carson City School District was one of eight chosen nationwide for the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz Peer-to-Peer Jazz Education Program that served all band and choir students - including Carson High juniors and eighth graders from Carson Middle and Eagle Valley Middle. The program was held at the Carson City Community Center on March 10 and 11 and featured Antonio Hart, Lisa Henry and Dr. JB Dyas - they led workshops and performances that taught students the basics of jazz.
