If you followed the city hall saga, here's what's next. A group called filed a petition to amend the so any of $10 million or more goes to Carson City voters instead of the Board of Supervisors. The group formed around the failed $30 million city hall project, but its filing isn't tied to any particular project.

The city hall deal fell through before the petition was filed

Carson City Clerk-Recorder Scott Hoen said petitioners need 15% of the number who voted in the last general election, and the count would come from today's election. The city manager's office declined to comment.

  • Signature deadline: April 17, 2027
  • Checking signatures: a 15% sample
