Carson City Salvation Army hosted its annual turkey drop at Max Casino today, starting with 70 frozen turkeys on Thursday afternoon and increasing to nearly 100 by lunchtime, though about 90 more are needed for the holiday season.

Capt. Ernie Evans said the nonprofit also aims to raise $100,000—seeking additional volunteer support to meet community needs.
