Here's your local news at a glance for Wednesday, the 19th of November.
Good morning, Carson City.
🎓 Education
The Nevada Department of Education introduced the new STELLAR Framework this year to guide schools in using AI responsibly.
Local educators say they use AI for tasks like creating rubrics but insist that human oversight — from watching student writing — is needed to keep students thinking for themselves.
🏥 Health
Former Carson High teacher Phil Brady received an infusion treatment at a clinic in Mexico that helped stop his multiple sclerosis, and his MRI exam in Sparks showed zero new lesions.
His wife Stacie and local supporters celebrated his progress and remain hopeful as he works to regain his mobility.
