- ➤ Carson City Moose Lodge donated 36 Tommy Moose Dolls to Carson Tahoe Hospital's ER department last Friday so nurses can use them to help children feel less scared during treatment—continuing a supportive local effort. CarsonNow
- ➤ On Saturday, Nov. 15, the 30th Annual Carson High Holiday Craft Fair at Carson High School ended at 4 p.m. after hosting 150 crafters—displayed in 165 booths—who offered handmade gifts, food, and fun activities to support school programs. The 10th Annual Carson Christmas Craft Fair at Carson City Community Center also kicked off on Nov. 15 and will return on Dec. 6 and Dec. 13 to raise funds for a local holiday food bank. CarsonNow

- ➤ Carson City School Board meets Monday at 6 p.m. at the Robert Crowell Board Room (851 East William Street) to present preliminary graduation rates for the Class of 2025 and announce the winners of the Great American Essay Contest from 152 entries. The board will also consider reappointing Pastor Megan Bottom to the Family Life Advisory Committee and review proposed changes to physical education exemptions and school facilities use (final rates await Nevada Department of Education approval). - ➤ The Carson City Sheriff’s Office held its Volunteer Appreciation and Recognition Ceremony on November 8 at Fandango Casino to honor over 100 volunteers who worked more than 19,656 hours and saved over $517,203. Sheriff Kenneth Furlong and his team thanked the volunteers—whose work supports special events, emergencies and daily tasks—and look forward to another year of enhanced community service. CarsonNow
- ➤ From Nov. 17 to 23, Carson City will close several streets for road and utility work, affecting parts of 5th, 7th, Curry, Park, Plaza, Rawhide, Roventini, and William streets.
