- ➤ On October 13th, Carson Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8583 held its first Night of Giving and donated over $6,400 to 11 local groups that support Veterans and meet community needs—more than 50 Veterans attended to hear presentations on each organization’s goals. The Record Courier
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ At 5:30 p.m. Monday in the board room at 851 E. William St, the Carson City Open Space Advisory Committee will review the Centennial Park Master Plan that calls for a bike park, new football fields, and a dog park (with the bike park estimated at $3.8 million) to help guide future grant applications. The committee will also discuss a proposed conservation easement for Old Woods Ranch and review Guardian Capital’s proposal for a flood storage project at Moffat Open Space to improve flood control and support nearby development.
