The Virginia Truckee Railroad will offer festive train rides for families from the historic 1870 depot in Virginia City starting the Friday after Thanksgiving through Dec.21.

The 50-minute Candy Cane Express trip brings passengers to Santa’s Workshop for treats and readings, and the Train O’ Lights offers an evening journey with thousands of LED displays—free parking is available.
