- ➤ Travel Nevada began construction of the Nevada Adventure Center in Carson City; the new center will open early fall and serve as a hub for guided tours and outdoor adventure services. State and local leaders, including Lt. Gov. Stavros Anthony and Mayor Lori Bagwell, said the $7 million project aims to boost outdoor recreation and support local businesses. News4

- ➤ Audrey Hall, known as Adrian at school, is this week’s Carson High School Silver campus senior spotlight and is building an art portfolio to become a tattoo artist while also engaging in agricultural science and rodeo events (barrel racing). - ➤ Stowbird Storage at 4241 US Hwy 50 in Carson City will auction storage unit contents online after unpaid rent triggered an owner's lien under Nevada law. Bidding will close on October 28 unless tenants pay all outstanding fees — then the units may be withdrawn from the sale. The Nevada Appeal
- ➤ Carson City's U-Haul Moving and Storage at 1498 E. William St. will have its storage units auctioned via Lockerfox.com from Oct. 22 at 8:00 a.m. to Oct. 25 at 4:00 p.m. due to unpaid rent and fees—units include Unit 1983 for Tony Salas at $289.90, Unit 1135 for Chuck Trusty at $279.90, and Unit 1351 for Jeremy Fogelson at $453.88. - ➤ Carson High’s girls cross country team finished second at the Clovis Invite with top runners placing well in the 5,000-meter race of 184 competitors, and the boys team placed eighteenth overall.
