- ➤ The Carson Valley Arts Council will open its 2025-2026 Concert Series with Tom Rigney and Flambeau performing on Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. at the CVIC Hall in Minden. Tickets cost $27 in advance and $30 at the door (kids under 18 are free with a paid adult ticket) and are sold online, by phone, or at the Copeland Cultural Arts Center (ticket purchasing options provided by the Arts Council). - ➤ On Wednesday, the Carson City Planning Commission recommended that parts of East 6th Street, South Fall Street, and a nearby alley be set aside for a new state office annex, parking garage, and operations building near the Legislative Building.
