- ➤ Douglas High School girls basketball has a new head coach in Alicia Main after Jason Carter retired; Main, a 1992 graduate and long-time assistant, will start team practices on Nov. 15 + help guide the players to focus on both school and leadership. - ➤ Behind the Bench, a local sports podcast, will air its 200th episode this week—its weekly discussion covers high school games and local athletic events, and the show has grown its listenership significantly over the past years. The Record Courier
- ➤ Carson High School volleyball fell in four sets to Bishop Manogue on Tuesday in Reno while the girls and boys soccer teams lost 3-1 to Galena and 2-1 to Damonte Ranch on Wednesday.
