- ➤ Visit Carson Valley is asking community members and outdoor enthusiasts to volunteer for the Ferris 50 Endurance Run on November 8—volunteers will help at aid stations, checkpoints and at the start and finish lines. - ➤ With 43 days until the Nevada Day Parade on Nov.1, organizers urge participants to start planning decorations as the Nevada Gift Shop in Carson City sells $28 kits — making it simple to add flair to floats and vehicles.
