- ➤ Jeremy Renner donated an old Carson City fire engine that was built in 1995 and decommissioned in 2018 after buying it at auction on August 2. The engine will be refurbished as 'The Renner' to honor 89 fallen firefighters—serving as a mobile tribute at community events and outreach programs. The Nevada Appeal
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ East Fork trustees approved a contract with Battle Born Helicopters even though the contract does not list every requirement (an attorney said the company still meets FAA rules) and many fire officials supported the move to add air services for fire and medical emergencies. Fire officials said the helicopter will help improve responses and will be ready by next fire season. The Record Courier
