Carson City Fire Department responded at 9:19 p.m. Saturday to a structure fire at 2051 Joshua Drive — firefighters removed a trapped man who later died at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.

Carson City schools welcomed 6,910 students Monday as the 2025-26 school year began at Seeliger Elementary.
