They also appointed Garrett Lepire to the Culture and Tourism Authority, updated the Carson River Watershed Regional Floodplain Management Plan, and began the first reading of a temporary use permits ordinance for private property.

Today, Nevada State Police Director George Togliatti appointed Michael Edgell as colonel of the Nevada Highway Patrol Division—he will lead the division, overseeing its three regions as he brings over 25 years of law enforcement experience to the role.

Organizers of the Tahoe Rim Trail Endurance Runs have canceled the 100-mile and 50-mile races due to the Marlette Dam and Flume pipeline projects—replacing them with 50K and 14-mile races scheduled for 7 a.m. Saturday at John L.

Harvey Field at Western Nevada College. The new courses adjust the 50K route by removing the loop around Marlette Peak and offer finishers an ultra lounge party with foot baths, ice cream, live music and drinks.
