- ➤ Capital City CIRCLES has moved its offices to FISH’s Student Learning Center on North Carson St. to offer better job and life skills training for local residents. The group has served between 25 and 30 clients each month and will add 10 to 15 more in August—while hosting a parking lot party for the community at the end of the month. The Nevada Appeal

- ➤ Carson Valley Community Theatre will present a female-led version of Neil Simon’s 'The Odd Couple' at CVIC Hall at 7:30 p.m. July 18—this reimagined play updates the original script to include themes like women’s rights and equal pay and is set for teens and adults. The Record Courier

- ➤ Carson City officials announced that starting July 14, several streets and multi-use paths will be closed at specific times for road and utility work—2nd Street, Baker Drive, Center Drive and others have scheduled restrictions, with some closures continuing through July 25 and into early August.
