Nearly 200 new laws went into effect Tuesday, July 1, including several education bills that raised charter school teacher pay and installed cameras on school buses to catch drivers passing stopped buses + other measures protect school counselors from being replaced by artificial intelligence.

Douglas High graduates Abigail Hamer and Camryn Mclelland each received a $2,000 scholarship from P.E.O.
