EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Wednesday, 75 adults in the Carson High School Adult Education Program earned diplomas at Northern Nevada Correctional Center and 24 of them received their GEDs during a ceremony with family present. - ➤ On Wednesday, the Carson City Planning Commission approved the five-year review of Cinderlite’s operation in north Carson after noting outdated road repairs and flooding issues on Goni Road—commissioners said the city should have used funds from Cinderlite for the repairs as promised and added new requirements for a drainage study by Oct 1 and improvements by Nov 1. They also approved a permit for an attached dwelling unit, recommended abandoning a 28,102-square-foot roadway easement on Airport Road, and granted a special use permit for a residential unit at 2580 N.
