- ➤ Carson City's Board of Supervisors will meet on July 3 to consider adopting the 2024 building code to update current rules while the Community Development Department will host a public meeting on June 17 at 3:30 p.m. in the Studio at Adams Hub—177 West Proctor Street—to review permit changes for door and window replacements. - ➤ On Wednesday, the Public Utilities Commission heard NV Energy’s proposal for a wildfire self-insurance policy that would add less than one cent per kilowatt-hour, roughly increasing residential bills by $2.40, to cover wildfire risks caused or worsened by utility equipment. Some customers and environmental groups opposed the plan—arguing NV Energy should fund it—and the commission will decide on the proposal soon. News4
