- ➤ Troy Wayne McComak, 40, who was wanted for attempted murder after a May 28 domestic incident in Hughson, Calif., was arrested Friday evening in Carson City after fleeing in a 2009 Saturn sedan — officers reported he had threatened to fight law enforcement. The Nevada Appeal

- ➤ Carson City Schools announced that associate superintendent Tasha Fuson will retire at the end of June after a long career as a special education teacher, principal, and leader at Carson High—where she helped raise graduation rates and start programs like Jump Start that let 24 students earn an associate’s degree.
