George and Judy Keele celebrate 50 years of marriage today in Carson Valley; the longtime couple first met in Sparks and married in Oakland in 1976 while raising a family and serving the community.
The Carson Valley Business, Home and Outdoor Recreation Showcase runs 3-6 p.m. Thursday at the Douglas County Community & Senior Center.
The event features a booth from Nevada Division of Outdoor Recreation on dark skies and astrotourism to boost local efforts.
