William St., Fire Chief Sean Slamon will give medals to Robert Berger and Lucas O’Brien for helping during a vehicle fire on Jan. 1 and to Robert Russell for his brave actions during an apartment fire on March 1. The board will also discuss changes in employee insurance plans, a $125,000 grant request for the sheriff’s family service unit, and plans to relocate easements for a housing project — steps that may affect city costs and development details. - ➤ Today, Nevada State Parks requires visitors to Sand Harbor State Park at Lake Tahoe to have a day-use reservation until October 15 when arriving between 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The reservation system offers three advanced booking tiers—200 available 90 days ahead, 100 30 days ahead, and 50 7 days ahead, with same-day reservations through 10:29 a.m. fee exempt.
