ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A magnitude 5.5 to 5.7 earthquake struck near Silver Springs Monday at 6:29 p.m. and was felt in Carson City, with emergency alerts sent out & seismologists monitoring 43 aftershocks while officials report no injuries or major damage. CarsonNow
- ➤ At 6:29 p.m. today, a 5.7 earthquake shook the area near Silver Springs, and Lyon County Emergency Management activated response efforts while crews begin damage assessments for roads & utilities. CarsonNow
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) is offering 29 free pre‑employment day camps for youth with disabilities, running Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in June, July, and August in Carson City and other locations.
