- ➤ The winter of 2025 brought less snowfall than last year and record-setting 2023, but measurements from Phillips Station and Mt. Rose show that Eastern Sierra, Northern Nevada and Northern California ended near average as snowmelt began. Mixed results were seen in Eastern Nevada—mountain areas recorded above average levels while Southern Nevada is expected to have a lean water year—raising concerns for regional water supply.
