- ➤ At a Tuesday Carson City School Board meeting, community members rallied to keep social workers (credited with reducing police calls) and backed maintaining a 45-minute daily recess for students. The board appointed a District 5 representative while recess policy details will be revisited at a future meeting. The Nevada Appeal
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Forest managers will start an understory burn near Spooner Lake and Backcountry State Park Monday to boost forest health and lower wildfire risk. The Tunnel Creek area, including East Shore Trail+Tunnel Creek Road and parking lots, will close for safety until the work may end April 3. The Record Courier
