- ➤ Rotary Club members will learn how local and global foundation work have boosted community projects when Steve Lewis (a Global Fund Committee member) speaks at a luncheon meeting on Tuesday, Mar. 24 at noon at the Brewery Arts Center’s Grand Ballroom, 449 West King Street. - ➤ The Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City will host its annual Eggstravaganza on Apr. 4 and Apr. 5 at (2180 S. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Carson High School named Brianna Rodriguez-Nunez this week’s Senior in the Spotlight for her strong achievements in academics, athletics, and community service. The Rotary Club of Carson City (a local group) will feature her at their weekly meeting while she prepares to attend UNR this fall to study medicine. CarsonNow
- ➤ Carson City School Board will review budget adjustments and potential staff cuts, including social workers, at a meeting on Tuesday, 6 p.m. at the Robert Crowell Board Room at the Community Center - trustees may also discuss transferring affected staff to fill open positions. CarsonNow
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Carson City road work is scheduled for this week among multiple streets including Fifth, Seventh, Plaza and William, with closures and lane restrictions in place due to road and utility work.
