Here's your local news at a glance for Sunday, the 22nd of March.
Good morning, Carson City.
🎓 Education
Trinity Lutheran Preschool taught students that a three leaf clover represents the Holy Trinity during its St. Patrick’s Day celebration on March 17, featuring leprechaun trap building and a hunt for hidden gold.
The school will hold its annual Easter Egg hunt soon (teaching about spring’s renewal).
🏛️ Government
Carson City road work will cause closures and lane restrictions on major streets from March 23 to 29; 5th, 7th, and Plaza Streets will see nightly or weekday shifts (with specific hours for closures and reduced lanes) to ease utility work, so commuters should plan alternate routes.
📰 Lifestyle
JoAnne Skelly (associate professor and Extension educator emerita) explained her seven-step process for readying her irrigation system for spring today, from checking hose bibs and sprinkler heads to cleaning drip line emitters to prevent water waste.
