- ➤ On Friday, January 24, Carson City's Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge #2177 held its Flannel and Frost fundraiser at the Governor's Mansion that raised over ($17,000) for the Night Off the Streets warming center and added ($6,000) from a Beacon and Spotlight Grant to reach a total of $23,000 in support of safe shelter, easing local challenges for those in need. William St.—the board will discuss proposals for a student anger management program with the Department of Juvenile Services and school resource officers and consider reducing monthly meetings.
