- ➤ Mile High Band Association’s 2025 Jazz & Beyond Festival Committee is hosting an art contest for Northern Nevada artists, with entries due by May 1. The winning artwork will be featured on festival advertising, the program cover and possibly on T-shirts — and it will earn the artist a $200 cash prize and a certificate — as part of the upcoming Carson City music event. - ➤ National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week runs from March 17th to March 23rd and will educate Carson City teens on the risks of drugs and alcohol + the Carson City Health and Human Services urges parents to talk with their children about these dangers. The Nevada Appeal
