A five-week series of qigong (gentle movement) classes designed to help us stay centered and calm through the holiday season, while building courage, acceptance, and energy for the New Year.

Thursdays, 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. November 12 and 19, December 3, 10, and 17, 2026

All levels are welcome, especially beginners and seniors. While drop-ins are accepted, the training is cumulative; each week will build upon the last. For best results, try to attend as many classes as your schedule allows. Seated, standing, and lying down meditations will be offered, but the entire practice can be done while seated if you choose. Please arrive 10 minutes early to get settled. Bring water and a blanket or mat. There is no fee and donations are gratefully accepted.

November 12: The Dharma of Movement: The Buddhist Perspective on Change; effortless effort and learning to flow

November 19: Self-Nurturing and Getting Unstuck; self-massage, shaking, and tapping

December 3: Perfect Imperfections: Embracing our Humanity; learning to soften, healing sounds, and filling the organs with light

December 10: Grounded and Spacious; learning to open while remaining grounded in safety and awareness; creativity knows no bounds

December 17: Mindful Aging: Chi for Health and Longevity; elevating energy through movement and intention; cultivating patient perseverance and equanimity.
